Caplan Cobb Wins Six-Figure Settlement and Complete Reinstatement in Whistleblower Suit
On behalf of Leo “Jim” Kight, Jr., a respected public defender in Forsyth, Georgia, Caplan Cobb’s Mike Caplan and Brandon Waddell sued the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council and various state officials, alleging they wrongfully terminated Mr. Kight in violation of the Georgia Whistleblower Act. Caplan Cobb secured a six-figure settlement and complete reinstatement for Mr. Kight. The case was the subject of articles in the Fulton County Daily Report and Atlanta Journal Constitution.
