Who We Are
We are trial and appellate lawyers. We represent businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals in high-stakes cases across the country. We handle complex business disputes, class actions, bet-the-company litigation, appeals, constitutional cases, and uniquely sensitive special matters. Most of our cases come to us through recommendations by other lawyers who trust us with their clients’ most important issues. Whatever the case, we approach it with the same commitment: put the client first, focus on what matters, tell a compelling story, and deliver results.
Almost all of Caplan Cobb’s lawyers clerked for federal judges, and nearly all spent time practicing with large, national law firms before joining Caplan Cobb. As a result, Caplan Cobb case teams are made up of highly talented and experienced lawyers who know what it takes to win.

Mike Caplan and James Cobb founded Caplan Cobb in 2014. The two first met as adversaries in a contentious business dispute. When the case ended, Caplan and Cobb decided to join forces and build a litigation firm with a singular mission to bring exceptional legal talent to high-stakes business disputes.
