Caplan Cobb Selected as Litigation Department of the Year
For the second time, American Law Media, Law.com, and the Daily Report have honored Caplan Cobb with the Litigation Department of the Year – Small/Midsize Firms award. The full announcement regarding the 2023 Southeastern Legal Awards can be read here.
For our litigation team, the past year was characterized by successes on cases with national importance, such as:
- a pro bono case that resulted in Georgia’s abortion ban being enjoined as unconstitutional;
- working on behalf of a Georgia death row inmate to bring about the cessation of executions until the state fulfilled promises made during the pandemic;
- representing a major real estate developer, we obtained a complete dismissal of claims seeking over $40 million in damages; and
- defeating a motion to dismiss brought by one of the nation’s largest chicken producers against our clients, a putative class of thousands of small farmers claiming the chicken producer violated their rights under state and federal law.
We are proud to once again receive this award and honored to be listed among so many notable individuals and organizations.
