Caplan Cobb Partner James Cobb to Speak on AI-Generated Financial Evidence at the AICPA's Forensic & Valuation Services Conference
On November 5, 2026, Caplan Cobb founding partner James Cobb will speak on a panel at the AICPA’s Forensic & Valuation Services Conference at the Gaylord National Hotel in National Harbor, Maryland.
The panel, “AI-Generated and Assisted Financial Evidence: How Courts Are Responding,” will examine a question that financial experts are increasingly facing in litigation: What happens when experts rely on AI-generated or AI-assisted analyses and information? James and his fellow panelists will discuss when experts rely on AI to draft reports, what courts expect expert witnesses to document and verify, where judges have drawn the line, the credibility of experts when they rely on fabricated information, and how financial experts can keep their opinions from being excluded or limited.
James has previously spoken to CPA audiences on litigation issues, including at the Georgia Society of CPAs’ annual seminar on fraud and forensic accounting. More information about the conference is available at events.aicpa-cima.com/fvs.
