Caplan Cobb Obtains TRO and Order Appointing Receiver in High-Stakes Real Estate Dispute
Caplan Cobb won a temporary restraining order and order appointing a receiver in a case involving a multi-million dollar real estate investment. The case involves a dispute between the members of a real estate venture. Within weeks of being retained by one of the two members of the venture, Caplan Cobb attorneys Michael Caplan and Ben Cheesbro filed a lawsuit and obtained an order restraining the other member from conducting any financial transactions on behalf of the company. Several weeks later, after Caplan Cobb filed a motion for the appointment of a receiver, the Court appointed a receiver to manage the affairs of the company.
